A working mom or a new mom will find it difficult to maintain their house or clean their house every day. They may barely find time to cook a meal for lunch or dinner. However, it is difficult and stressful to see an untidy or messy home. A mother would always want to provide a clean and hygienic environment for her family. Let’s look at a few ways for a busy mom to keep her house clean.
Maintain a Schedule for Cleaning:
It is neither easy nor possible to clean every day for a busy mom. A working mother or a new mom already has her hands full. It will be difficult to clean the entire house every single day. It will be better and easier if we maintain a schedule for cleaning. For instance;
- Washing clothes can be done every alternate day.
- Washing the toilet and bathroom can be done once in three days.
- Cleaning electrical or kitchen appliances can be done once in a week.
- Washing utensils will be on your daily chore list.
Even though you have made a schedule, you can modify it according to your comfort and what requires your immediate attention. It will be easy to follow a schedule than cleaning every corner of the house every day or cleaning the entire house once a month.
A vacuum cleaner is a necessity for busy moms. It makes cleaning your bed, mattress, sofa, cushions, carpet, rug, and floor so much easy. Invest in a vacuum cleaner that is easy to transport from one room to another. Also, it will be easy to handle if it is light in weight or it should have rollers to glide the vacuum from one room to another.
Share the Workload:
If you have older children or relatives in your house, share the work with them. Allocate some cleaning work for them so that you don’t have to spend all your time and energy on cleaning all by yourself. If you share your work, you will find it easy to clean, and you won’t be overloaded with work.
Use Home-Made Cleaning Solutions:
Solutions like lemon and water or vinegar and water solution can remove all kinds of tough food stains. Microwave lemon and water for 2 seconds and you can wipe off all the debris from the microwave with a clean cloth. The vinegar and water solution can be sprayed in the fridge or on your gas stove to clean off tough food stains or particles that are difficult to remove.
You can also use shampoos that you don’t use anymore because it didn’t suit your hair. You can now use them to clean your wash basin, toilet seat, buckets, and mug.
Use an Old Toothbrush:
It is difficult to clean the corners of the room. You can use the old toothbrush to scrub the narrow corners of your rooms or even bathroom. You can spray some lemon juice and scrub your bathroom corners with a toothbrush to remove those tough stains.
These are a few tips that will be very helpful to keep your house clean. Items like lemon, vinegar and old toothbrushes are easily available in most houses. You don’t need to spend extra money on buying disinfectants to clean your house. Allocate work to family members and give each one a schedule to work on certain cleaning work over the week.
